Snake Catching Melbourne, Melbourne Snakes have been very active. I have been catching a lot of Tiger Snakes, Brown's and Copperheads. I have been very busy. The Snake in the photo is a vagrant Red-Bellied Black Snake caught basking and bathing in a front yard pond. My theory is that this snake hitched a ride form somewhere along the Murray River. Each year I get a few Red-Bellied Snakes in similar circumstances.
